Wagyu History
The best, most detailed history of Wagyu I have read is David Blackmore's account. You can read it at his website: https://blackmorewagyu.com
I would only be plagiarizing like many others so I will not do that. Another site is the Australian Wagyu Association: https://www.wagyu.org.au

Strains of Black Wagyu are Tajima / Tajiri, Shimane / Fujiyoshi and Kedaka / Totori.
At Southern Cross Wagyu we breed all three strains have kept those bloodlines straight so we can better predict the outcomes of progeny without throw backs to other strains for best outcomes and results.

We here at Southern Cross Wagyu specialize in 100% Full blood Black Wagyu.
At Southern Cross Wagyu we do not need, use or entertain Red Wagyu, Purebreed, or Poll Wagyu as these are not the Fullblood Black Wagyu which are the true 100% Fullblood Wagyu from Japan that are the true eating experience.

In saying that one producer has had great results using Purebreed / Poll Wagyu. Hamond Farms, having been breeding for over 25 years and up to F20 cross.
That is a lot of work, research and record keeping.
A great deal of respect to them, for their hard work.
